Rubjerg Knude的点评
点评：Hanging on my wall is an original painting from 1999 of the Rubjerg Knude, by artist Jørn K. Andersen, who had been sitting at the Mårup Kirke (which was still there at the time). I was 12 when I got this and it's always been one of my favourites.
Being able to bring my wife and children to see it in the 'flesh' was really special, although I had no idea it had been moved in 2009. Back in 1999 the outbuildings were mostly uncovered and there was a small shop, the dune was nearly as high as the lighthouse with an incredibly steep and long drop to the beach on the other side.
In it's new position, the lighthouse looks significantly less threatened by the sand, but the outbuildings have gone. There was also an incredible sandstorm on the day and the children eventually turned back with only my wife and I making it all the way. We really had to wrap up with sun glasses, face buff, hats all pulled down to stop the sand grains getting in our eyes or stopping us breathing - it was a wild expedition.
I don't remember the tower being open back then, but it is now and so not only did it provide some respite from the wind and sand, we climbed to the top and, carefully, poked our heads up to see the view.
I imagine this is probably better seen on a nice sunny day, or at least one that isn't so windy, however by venturing here in this weather we had the whole place to ourselves, not another soul for miles.

我想，在阳光明媚的日子里，或者至少在风不大的日子里，景色应该会更好。不过，我们那天在这种天气里冒险来到这里，却意外地独享了这片美景，方圆几里都没有其他人。
