An amazing day sailing with Nikos and the highlight of our vacation

点评：This sailing experience was the highlight of our vacation in Crete! We had an absolutely amazing day with Nikos who is a fantastic host, captain and storyteller. He took us to some amazing swimming spots and engaged everyone with time at the wheel and stories on what we were seeing. He even helped us map an itinerary for our road trip from Chania to Heraklion the next day (Tip - don’t miss the small tavernas carved into the hillside at the Springs of Agyroupolis).
But the real highlight was the sailing lesson he gave my son and I. The winds had picked up enough in the afternoon that we could hoist the sails, turn off the engine and tack our way through the bay just by catching the wind alone.
There are many sailing companies listed on Trip Advisor and we pored through many of the reviews to finally pick Saling in Chania with Nikos. And we are so glad that we did!
Save yourself the effort and go ahead and book with him, it will be a memory of a lifetime.
