The Auckland Project的点评
点评：This was a fascinating group of exhibits presented tastefully and with great care. The buildings are bright, cheerful and clean. The Staff are welcoming, approachable and very knowledgeable. There is a wealth of art here from the painful depictions of the Mining Gallery to the opulence of the Spanish Gallery and the Auckland Palace. The Faith Museum is an interesting and stimulating collection. The Walled Garden is a brilliant tribute to the imaginative hard work of the gardeners over the last 3 years. We spent à wonderful day here culminating in a delicious meal at the El Castillo Tapas Restaurant.
For the size and quality of the Project it was surprisingly not crowded, and we could explore all the different aspects comfortably and learnt so much, time well spent. We only had one day available and will happily return to cover more. We did not get to see Binchester, the deer park or the Wear Railway. There is much to entertain younger folk. It is great value at £26 per adult and a family pass of £52
