Dreadful customer service at Roast Club, including waitress shouting a child could not have her set dessert.

点评：Dreadful customer service, one waitress decided unilaterally that a child in our party could not have her kids pudding because she was trying her uncle’s pudding whilst she waited for hers. When we raised this with the waitress to ask if the kids pudding was coming, she shouted at our party across other customers tables, leaving a six year old crying under our table.
I raised this at the time with the team behind the bar, not knowing who was in charge, but this was clearly not passed on to anyone and we received no apology whilst still at our table.
I emailed Missing Link directly to feedback regarding this and a serious issue with their disabled toilet lock (which left myself and my own child stuck inside until released with an external key) and received the least apologetic apology I think could possibly have been sent. No mention of a direct apology for causing a child with additional needs to be left sobbing.
For a roast, go elsewhere. For the price, go elsewhere. For better service, go literally anywhere else. The food was good, but not even close enough to outweigh the rudeness of the staff.
I don’t like leaving publicly negative reviews but I don’t feel my private attempt to address this has been received in a way that means it will improve future service.
Roast recommendations: The Rose and Crown in Cuckfield, The Ginger Fox out past Hurstpierpoint.
