点评:This was my favorite museum during my most recent trip to Vietnam, however, it was the priciest.
The museum was housed in a multistory wooden building that had a lot of character. On the ground floor was the ticket booth, small gift shop which provided free tea samples and restrooms.
I was escorted to the top floor via the elevator and handed a laminated map that briefly explained each room and highlighted some of the main objects on display. Overall lots of good information posted so it was easy to understand and engage.
Some of the highlights included:
- small gardens on the patios
- brick temple like room on the top floor
- wall of paintings of herbs
- herbal store recreation where one can also put on Vietnamese traditional clothing
- tools of the trade plus jars/bottles of herbs
- information about Vietnamese contributions and discoveries
Tourist buses drop off loads of visitors so I can get crowded. One of the annoying aspect was the bus parking right in front so I could never get a photo of the outside of the building. I went to another room and came back to the skipped one to avoid those crowds.
