Governors’ Balloon Safaris的点评
点评：Governors Balloon is a long established and experienced balloon company operating in the Masai Mara for 46 years plus and indeed my previous balloon flight with them, had been one of my first, 42 years earlier! I was not disappointed….
We were staying quite close to the launch site so had an easy 30 minute drive to the start point for the traditional predawn coffee and biscuits
Our pilot was Pepe, a very experienced pilot and it showed throughout the flight.
Take off after a brief safety briefing on the use of the safety belt required for landing was in the usual standing position with all customers required to board quickly once the basket was upright although some less mobile customers were preloaded whilst the basket was in its side.
We were the sole balloon from Governors and the flight itself was fantastic watching sunrise whilst skimming over forest, following the Mara river and swooping over the savanna, all with views of a cross section of animals particularly hippo, antelope, vultures, and zebra.
Pepe was great in rotating the basket regularly so all had a broadly equal chance in having a leading view.
The landing, requiring us to clip on and take up our landing positions, was pinpoint close to the waiting vehicles, upright and very smooth.
We then had a 30 minute game drive to our breakfast spot, an unforgettable freshly cooked bush breakfast with Prosecco on the savanna. A superb end to a fun morning.
Governors Balloon have throughout their long history maintained high safety standards, recruited highly experienced pilots and as a result ensured their passengers have an amazing experience.
