点评:It's possible to get a bus from near Beşyol crossroads to the museum. The buses for the castle wait just opposite Hazreti Omer Cami, look for a plaque in the bus front window with 'Kale' on it (which means castle). A one way trip cost me 17 lira (which at the time of writing is just 0.46 euro). The drive was quick and dropped me very close to the museum.
The museum has a lot of antiquities in great condition. You can apparently download a free audio guide on the Turkey museum guide app (might be best to download in advance), although I found the written English descriptions adequate. There is a small cafe and gift shop and toilets at the end of the museum.
The castle is in walking distance to the museum but it's a longer walk than I was expecting since you must enter on the north western side.
Getting a bus back to the city must be possible but I couldn't figure out where from, and I ended up getting a taxi. I expect the museum staff might be able to give directions to the right bus stop.
