点评：If you find yourself in Guanacaste, do yourself a favor and set aside a day for this. Our catamaran trip with Sailing Guanacaste ended up being the highlight of our entire stay.
It was one of those vacation days that sticks with you. My wife, our four boys and I spent the day on an all day cruise, and everything about it just clicked.
Things started off smoothly with a prompt pickup. We were on the boat in no time, greeted by a crew that made us feel welcome right away. Michael spoke excellent English and was easy to chat with. Stefano made snorkeling both safe and exciting, pointing out details we never would have noticed. María, the cook, turned a fresh amberjack we caught with Captain Luis into a lunch I am still thinking about. Luis kept the boat steady the entire trip and handled everything with quiet confidence.
The scenery was something else. We stopped at beaches that felt untouched, one of them sprinkled with shells and home to plenty of wildlife that had the boys completely absorbed. The rest of the day was a mix of snorkeling, exploring hidden spots and scanning the water for marine life. There was always something happening.
It did not feel like just a boat ride. It felt like spending time with people who love their work and want you to share in it. Warm hospitality, gorgeous views and a sense of easy adventure all rolled into one. I would book it again without thinking twice.
