点评:This is easily accessible by car from the autobahn, and apparently also quite easily accessible by public transit from the train station.
It's well-laid out, and has some beautiful examples of pre-WWII DKW, Audi, and Horch cars. In addition, there are interesting displays on the post-WWII auto manufacturing industry in the area, including quite a few Trabants.
The museum devotes some space to the technical aspects of the cars, with things like cut-out displays of cars or drivetrain-only displays of cars, to help explain how vehicles are designed. These displays were well-done, although some were only in German.
All in all, this was a very interesting museum.
We also ate at the cafeteria. The food was very good; I had sauerbraten with red cabbage, which was very tasty. The portions were generous enough that we did not order any of the delicious-looking cakes that they had on display.
