The Highlight of our trip to Bordeaux

点评：We worked with Paul over several months to create a custom itinerary for our visit to Bordeaux for two and a half days prior to our boarding a river cruise out of Bordeaux. I can say that the time we spent with Paul was the highlight of our whole trip. In putting the itinerary together Paul listened to our wants, made suggestions based upon them, changed the plan based upon our feedback, and handled all the details before we arrived.
On day one we visited two Chateaux in Medoc, touring the properties, learning a lot about their process to create outstanding wines, and, of course, having a taste. He arranged for us to have lunch at a quaint restaurant in the area and later dinner along the river in Bordeaux.
On Day 2 we took a private boat trip in Arcachon , stopping along the way to have a delicious lunch at an oyster shack. Following the boat ride we climbed the dunes, took a drive through the beautiful homes in Arcachon, and had dinner at a restaurant overlooking the bay.
The last morning Paul took us to the Sauternes region and visited a Chateau to taste these wonderful wines. Upon completion of the tasting he took us back to our B&B, picked up our bags and dropped us at our ship.
Paul was a most gracious host, very knowledgeable about the Bordeaux region, and the wines there in. He was genuinely interested in us as well and we parted as friends, not just clients.
