Unorganized, overcrowded mess
ICE! at Gaylord Rockies的点评
点评：After the Gaylord being open for a while now, we decided to finally do the holiday stuff. Now that we’ve experienced it, I’m sad to say I don’t think I ever want to do it again.
Between the unorganized system where the time slot you reserve doesn’t actually matter, the ice event itself is ridiculously crowded. Not only does the Gaylord not limit how many people can be in your party, the way the inside of the ice tent was setup made it to where you couldn’t freely roam. We kept getting stuck behind people trying to take group photos at every single spot and not having enough room to pass. There was a party that we kept getting stuck behind that had like 22 people in it, and they kept trying to stage whole family photo shoots.
We also waited in line for a solid 45+ minutes to get into the ice tent, and the tent itself takes 10 minutes (or less) to walk through. Once you get to the parka dispersal, you’re stuck in yet another line because people don’t listen and kept slowing down the line trying to get their parties situated.
Aside from the ice tent itself, there isn’t much information about the other activities. There is a “Christmas market” but there’s no indicator of where you can go, or what requires reservations.
If I could give any feedback, I’d suggest wider reservation windows because they didn’t enforce the 15min entry times which led to confusion and backups. I’d also limit how many can be in one party. I’m not kidding when I say some parties had over 20 people. 8-10 per party would have been so much easier to navigate. It’s controversial too, but I wouldn’t allow photography, or I’d have designated photo spots. People taking pictures throughout the whole thing makes it pretty impossible to navigate.
