I visited Gypsy Soul near Pune last weekend with friends, and the experience was beyond magical. The highlight? Thousands of fireflies lighting up the entire valley! I’d heard of fireflies before, but this was something else — they were everywhere, right across the property. The team even did a dark hour where they switched off all the lights so we could just sit in silence and take it all in. It felt like nature’s version of fairy lights, and I’ll never forget that moment.
They had live music by State Bus, and those unplugged vibes under the open sky just hit different. After that, we watched a midnight movie at their open-air cinema, which was such a cozy touch — under the stars, wrapped in a blanket, with Maggie and all.
The sunset trek was another beautiful surprise — we hiked to a point from where you could actually see both the Panshet and Varasgaon dams. The view, the breeze, and that golden-hour light? Unreal.
Food throughout was delicious — from barbecue to midnight Maggi to morning breakfast, everything tasted home-style but elevated. And our stay was super comfortable — we stayed in cottages and some friends tried the tents, and both were clean, cozy, and well-kept.
