From the moment we were picked up, everything was seamless and so well organised. The logistics were smooth, the itinerary was perfect, and we felt completely looked after every step of the way.
But what really made this trip so special was the team. Ben, Joshua, Samuel, Tehras, John, and Dennis – these guys are more than just colleagues; they’re like brothers. The bond between them is clear, and it created the most supportive, warm, and joyful atmosphere throughout the trek.
We laughed every day, shared stories (Ben & Joshua were brilliant story tellers!) learned about their lives and culture, and came away feeling like we’d made incredible new friends. They carried our bags, cooked the most unbelievably delicious meals (still can’t get over what Samuel pulled off at altitude!), and most importantly, kept us safe, motivated, and encouraged the entire way.
It was harder than we expected – physically and mentally – but we summited, and we couldn’t have done it without them. Honestly, this experience was so much more than just climbing a mountain. If you’re thinking of hiking Mount Kenya, do it with this team. You’ll be in the best hands possible.
