点评：We hired the stables for a party of 17 people including Children for our 50th wedding celebrations. The week cost around £3300 , which to me was significant. I expected reasonable modern surroundings we had dated adequate surroundings, minor things such as one bedroom door would not latch, we had reasonable room to live although the kitchen struggled when 4 family's needed to cook but that just needed organisation.
Things which irritated were extras like inadvertently pulling the emergency cord in some disabled arranged bathrooms cost to put right, do not leave the room key in a latched bedroom cost to put right, bear in mind there were 17 of us refilling the hot tube cost £30 extra, draining and cleaning the hot tube cost £60 extra. After just two days not all and every day of the two days and not all and every guest using the hot tube not even a quarter of the assembled guests to use this hot tube we were told that it would cost, surprise, £60 if we wanted to carry on using. One of our party made the comment that the water had been murky on the very first day and when he checked the filter it was disgusting and had not been changed, something which must be done on a daily basis along with over night bleaching followed with a further filter change the following day, the caretaker/maintenance man when confronted initially claimed to have done all correctly by subsequently admitted to not doing and cutting corners. We paid £3300 for a significantly substandard. I wonder if the next party would face the same problem with the uncleaned hot tube as I believed we encounter. It could be quite a money maker.
It mut be made clear we did not make a fuss at the time, blaim English retisence not to cause a fuss and didn't want to cast a cloud over the party. Be aware and b more forthright than we had.
