点评:Our journey started on a very busy tiny platform at the dedicated train station, which is next to the main bus / train station in Palma. Our booking was for 12.15pm and although busy, everyone seemed to have a seat. You do need to grab any seat as they are not individually allocated with your ticket. Once out of Palma and the industrial areas, the views of the countryside and mountains are stunning. Ticket inspectors are on board to check tickets, so there are no free rides here. On arrival in Soller it is a bit chaotic, with people everywhere not knowing where to go. The tram stop to Peurto Soller is in the street, where you will see loads more people waiting. Boarding the tram is again a mad rush to get a seat, although we managed to stand for the 20 min ride.
Coming back is just the same in reverse. Give yourself loads of time for the tram back to the train station.
I would hate to imagine what this trip would be like in the height of summer holidays.
Overall, we are glad that we did the trip. Views are amazing.
