点评:This is a really pretty little body of water between landscaped parkland , tucked in just off of the main thoroughfare of Seafield Street. The loch itself was once much larger, being part of a dam for a no-longer existing mill. It was drained to create this picturesque public area. The friendly ducks are very much a feature of this small lake, and will approach anyone they hope will feed them. There are also flocks of raucous crows roosting in the tall trees, along with other varieties of birds. During the summer months the flower beds are ablaze with colour, and there’s plenty places to sit and enjoy a picnic, plus there’s an adjoining carpark, and a neighbouring bowling & tennis club. Also worth looking at in the vicinity is Portsoy Scout Hall, which is a historic building dating from 1859, as it once served as Portsoy Railway Station.
