Expensive and disappointing overall

We visited The Needles as a family on our holiday after my son had been with his school and absolutely loved it, yet we left very disappointed after an hour.
The website is very confusing when it comes to pricing. The ticket system makes little sense or is badly worded meaning we were either going to use all our tickets on 1 place or pay out of pocket. Considering I’d already sunk £60 on tickets as I thought this would be enough, I then had to pay another £60 for 4 jars of coloured sand in glass that have been binned after going mouldy in 2weeks! £120 down and that’s not even including food! I also wasn’t aware of this until after we had done it as the person on the till let us pick out our jars and then come back to pay after we’d done the sand art.
We did all enjoy the glass blowing experience (could of stayed there all day) and the sweet making demo, honestly some of the best hard boiled sweets I’ve ever had and wish I could get more for other family members, but honestly after that we had 3 tickets left and just went back to the holiday park we were staying at to try and make the day better. We felt very deflated by then that both of our children didn’t want to try anything else. It could be an amazing place to visit, and gives me the similar feeling of Trago Mills in Devon, but with a premium price tag! If you want to go, do so but all I can say is have a big budget and take a packed lunch.
