TOPDIVE Fakarava的点评
点评：I went to dive Fakarava's south pass/wall of sharks with Topdive yesterday with Dennis as guide. The group was small (6 including Dennis) and the two dives were simply incredible. It's a drift dive and we passed through the largest gathering of sharks that I've ever dived with (literally hundreds, just like the photos) and didn't see any other divers during either 50 minute session. During the drifts we would hold on to a rock and watch the sharks gliding in the current right next to us, and on the second dive the sharks and some HUGE tunas (yellowfins, doggies and skipjacks) were hunting a school of fish. Simply incredible.
I couldn't recommend Topdive enough as a dive outfit. It was all very professional and very well organised, and everyone we met working there were just great and real water enthusiasts. We booked a few days before and they sent us a whatsapp reminding us of all the details the evening before the dive, and when we showed up everything was ready to go. Dennis was awesome and we felt in very safe hands with him - he was super diligent as a guide checking everyone in the group was ok and checking air etc, but also relaxed and was constantly pointing out things the group might miss. We finished the two dives with an incredible lunch (literally the best poisson cru we've had since arriving in Polynesia - the chef made the coconut milk fresh that morning!) on a beach with a blacktip reef shark nursery, with a dozen or so blacktips less than a foot long patrolling the shallows.
Finally, I live on a boat and currently have some mechanical issues, and Sebastian and his wife (who I think manage the school) went to great lengths to try and help out.
The point being that this is a great group of people who care about you having a good time and you should go dive with them!
