点评:I can see a number of conflicting reviews on the taxi services at Gatwick Airport. The one I am reviewing, is the one that appears to have the monopoly at the airport, which is definitely being abused. The service I am referring to is the one that has a booking office between the exit doors at North Terminal and is called Airport Cars. I arrived at Gatwick from Goa and followed the sign to the taxi rank. Upon making enquiries as to where the taxi rank was when I exited the terminal, I was directed back inside the outer exit door of the terminal to a small kiosk. When I told the guy where I wanted to go, which was the Ibis Styles hotel just up the road, he told me it would be £24. I queried if there was another Ibis hotel in Gatwick that he was maybe confusing with the one that I wanted to go to, which was only 5 minutes up the road. He told me that the one I wanted was the only Ibis in Gatwick and that that was the price. I did tell him that I thought that was a bit of a ripoff, but he just smiled. I was too tired to get into an argument about after an almost 10 hour flight, but I certainly wasn't happy about it. This ripoff monopoly needs looking into by the taxi licencing authority.
