点评：In the midst of the gorgeous Kuangsi waterfall site, a truly memorable and heartwarming experience can be found at the Moon Bear sanctuary run by 'Free the Bears'. FTB are doing amazing important work in Asia rescuing bears from horrendous conditions of cruelty and rehabilitating them along with other wildlife in sanctuaries.
At Kuangsi, short guided experiences are available most mornings and you will have the opportunity to make enrichment treats for the bears and distribute them, with the satisfaction of knowing that every dollar contributed saves further bears from the grim wildlife trade.
FTB has another larger wildlife sanctuary in Luang Prabang also very much worth visiting, especially to see the famous 16 bear cubs rescued together in 2024 (their mothers killed by poachers). FTB is a small group doing big things in wildlife conservation -- join in for a few hours and be a bear carer, you'll be glad that you did!
