点评：When you arrive you get a shell lei and a group portrait that you will be given a chance to buy for $30 per print. You then get on a short tram ride that circles the property that takes you by where you will eat and see the show later. The grounds are pretty though where isn't it nice on the island? The tram drops you off next to where the pig ceremony will take place where they remove one of the pigs from the underground oven (Imu). The dinner is buffet style with salad, fired rice, a fish among other things but it really is about the Kalua pig. It was the most succulent, flavorful version we had on the island by a country mile. While we dined a couple of musicians played some tunes and a member of the Smith family MC's while another member of the family taught hula lessons. Mother and Father Smith apparently work there nightly as well. Avoid the pre-mixed cocktails. Our entire family felt they were way too sweet. Order drinks directly from the bartenders for better drinks. After dinner we were directed to the small amphitheater where the prints were on sale as you walk to your seat. The stage is designed to look like a small island with a fiery volcano on top. The dancing honors several of the people who make up the multicultural inhabitants of the island. It was well rehearsed and entertaining. Of the 3 luaus that we have gone to on Kauai, this is still our favorite. They run this like a family that has invited you over to their home for dinner. In our opinion, Smith's has the most authentic spirit of aloha.
