Nice place but choose your room carefully

点评：We stayed in the Gondola View Deluxe Rooms. We found the room to be very small and cramped. Hardly any space to move about. The bathroom was extra spacious - they could have made the room bigger by cutting back on the bathroom size. Further, they have storage type geyser which is a challenge - they are small in size and one runs out of hot water in minutes. The room also has a small window in front which we had to keep the curtain drawn across to get some privacy. So we had no natural light coming into the room. Do avoid booking this room.
The views from outside the room are fabulous. They have a common sit out area in open outside the rooms (hence curtains have to be drawn). It is a nice walk to the cafe and restaurant.
Do grab a bite at the Skyview Cafe. Food is good plus we got excellent service from Raju Thakur.
The food at the restaurant (breakfast and dinner) is good. The staff are also hospitable and make you feel welcome.
Each night's stay (we were there for 2 nights) gives you a complimentary gandola ride ticket. We went for one on the second day - the views are fabulous. But as it was raining, we could not spend much time at the top and had to cut short our sightseeing. Due to weather conditions, the Gandola was non-operational on the day of the check out and we missed going on the ride.
We had enquired at the reception for an upgrade (we checked in around 5 pm by when most of the guests would have checked in) but were told that the property is sold out and no rooms were available. Over dinner, as there was only one other table occupied, we were told by the staff that hardly 5-6 rooms are occupied which was also borne out by absence of lights in most of the rooms. The staff at the reception could have just politely told us no for an upgrade instead of saying the property is sold out.
All in all, we had a lovely time at the resort. Just be aware while booking / choosing the room as our room was pretty cramped.
