点评：We had an enjoyable visit to Brading Roman Villa with the added bonus, as it was a hot day outside, that the building interior is pleasantly cool. The mosaics, villa remains and artefacts are very interesting complemented by information panels providing background information and context. The staff were very enthusiastic, friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived until we left. This always adds to any visit and they certainly enhanced our understanding of Roman life both on Vectis (Isle of Wight), mainland Britain and how trade with nearby nations operated. The new building covering the villa remains is also worthy of mention as its very impressive. The internal circular route is well laid out and provides good vantage points to view the mosaics, remains and the many artefacts on display. There is a nice cafe, where we had a drink and a snack, and a shop and again the staff were very friendly and helpful. When you pay for your entry ticket it remains valid for a whole year so you can come back as many times as you wish and we have already done a return visit! For those with four legged friends dogs aren't allowed inside the building or cafe only the grounds so best to leave them at home to snooze! There is a large free car park only a short walk from the main building. Don't forget to have a wander round the grounds to see the remains of the baths, well, gardens and surrounding landscape. We look forward to our next visit and would happily recommend others to visit.
