点评：Manzanillo Beach is one of Providencia’s two main beaches, sitting opposite Southwest Beach and facing east. That means a bit more wind, slightly choppier water, and occasionally some seaweed, but it also means great energy and a wide-open feel. It’s still a wonderful place to spend the day.
This is prime territory for laying out, getting a tan, eating freshly fried fish, and drinking reliably cold beer. A small but meaningful bonus: the porta-potties are clean, regularly serviced, and genuinely usable, which matters more than people like to admit.
Manzanillo takes a little effort to reach. You need to find the right turnoff, Google Maps helps, then park at the end of a dirt road and walk in. It’s a short trek, but the payoff is immediate once you hit the sand.
Food here is very rustic. One spot, likely run by Miss Ellie, stood out. She arrived with cold beer and cooked fish over an open fire, machete in hand, like it was just another Tuesday. The food was excellent, the cocktails were solid, and the whole experience felt refreshingly unpolished.
One moment summed up the island perfectly. A man serving drinks, working with one arm, got tipped generously by my girlfriend for a couple of beers. He smiled, said he was done for the day, and left. That’s Providencia. Work until you’ve made enough, then go live your life.
