点评:An unexpected and absolutely lovely find just outside the center of Milan. First off, the building itself is beautiful inside. Don’t miss the large marble chair right at the entrance, the staircase, the floors. You can visit the museum for free, though a cash contribution is appreciated. Pro tip: scan the QR code at the entrance of the building and download the audio files in English or Italian before heading in, you may have insufficient connection once you go upstairs. Inside, the museum is basically the house of the couple who lived there and collected Italian art for decades, with the rooms fashioned and furnished by one of the best Milanese architects of the 20th century (who also designed the building). Every room is full of paintings, with some rooms dedicated to a particular period or movement, and others to a single artist. Don’t miss several paintings by De Chirico, my favorite being “The gladiators.” A true hidden gem, not to be missed!
