点评:After viewing the Glenashdale Falls you can continue on the path up to where you meet the forestry road turn left and follow the road for around 20 minutes and you will come to a path on your left which leads to a clearing on the hilltop where the Giants' Graves are.
The forestry track allows you great views over Whiting Bay and Holy Isle.
The Giants' Graves are all that remains of two Neolithic chambered tombs in the style the Clyde group, with many many examples scattered across Arran. They are between 5,700 and 5000 years old making them some of the oldest remains on the islands. There is an information board with their history. also watch out for the rock with a number of inscriptions of "historical graffiti"
Today the tombs are mostly ruined with the remains buried in the turf which covers much of them. However, they still make for an interesting visit and again the site offers great views over the bay.
The path then continues past the graves and begins to descend back to the river path and car parks. The zig-zag descent becomes quite steep and again with the rain starting was wet and slippery in places. Stopping at some of the higher switchbacks you again get some excellent views of Whiting Bay and Holy Isle.
If the weather is not good or there has been rain good walking shoes would be the best. However if the weather is fine it is not such a difficult path to negotiate.
The circular path is well worth a couple of hours and both attractions are worth it.
