点评:We recently took a private tour with Britannia Coaches from Canterbury to the Dover cruise terminal, and while parts of the experience were enjoyable, it did fall short of expectations. Our driver was friendly and did his best to accommodate us, but it was apparent he hadn’t been properly trained for this specific sightseeing route. He had to rely heavily on Google Maps, which unfortunately led to us missing two of the scheduled stops.
The suggested itinerary included several great photo opportunities and brief stops, such as Sandwich Guild Hall Museum, Deal and Walmer Castles, the Ham Sandwich sign, St. Margaret’s Bay, and the iconic White Cliffs of Dover, ending with a two-hour visit to Dover Castle. Sadly, due to the lack of familiarity with the route, we didn’t get to see everything planned.
On the bright side, the transfer itself was comfortable, and the pickup from our Canterbury hotel was punctual. This experience had potential, but better route preparation and training for the driver would have made all the difference. If those areas are addressed, it could be a truly delightful way to explore the region before embarking on a cruise.
