Goes too much beyond its apparent subject area

点评：As the museum's own website states, this has been expanded to cover more than just the landings of the 82nd and 101st on 6th June 1944 and subsequent days. This is the case with several museums in Normandy, some going significantly beyond it's subject area. Yes some background and aftermath are needed but a balance needs to be struck.
There are some really good parts to this museum, e.g. the walk as is if you are in a C47 and the noise inc AA fire. The C47 room was dark and the English information is in red writing which I could not read so that took away quite a part of it.
A whole room on the occupation, interesting and important, but does this fit in with the museum's name and apparent role? Also a whole room on Vietnam and the French involvement?
The subject area, apart from the red writing, were very good but I felt it has expanded beyond what I would expect and repeats in some cases what other museums are offering.
