点评:A fascinating museum in a beautiful location overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. This museum is also home to the Monaco Oceanographic Institute and highlights the country's commitment to ocean conservation. The upper floors have exhibits about the history of oceanographic research and current Mediterranean undersea exploration. The lower floors contain an aquarium and marine life exhibits.
I really enjoyed learning about the progression of ocean research technology and techniques used to study the ocean. I also liked the immersive undersea exploration experience on display when I visited. If you love ocean and/or city views, be sure to visit the rooftop, where you can get 360° views of Monaco and the Mediterranean. There is also a full restaurant, children's playground, and snack bar on the roof. This was a fun museum with something for people of all ages.
The only downside was that I don't think the museum has air conditioning (or it was not working properly when I visited). I visited on a warm April day, and it was uncomfortably warm inside the museum. Tickets can be purchased at the ticket booth next to the front door, no reservation needed. If you plan to visit the Prince's Palace as well, you can buy a combo ticket which includes the palace and this museum for a discounted rate.
