Beware the lack of signage and information on entry!

点评：We have just visited the castle and have sadly, due to a lack of signs missed seeing half of the building.
There is a small sign at the foot of the steps up to the castle building which says that the last entry is 3pm. We entered at 1pm and had a lovely walk around, the building is wonderful and worth a visit.
We came out about 2pm for a picnic and then had tea and cake from the cafe, all lovely.
Then we had a problem as we tried to enter the ballroom and museum which is entered by a completely different door, as it was closed. There was a lady guarding the door who told us that it closes at 3pm, we asked where it said this and she pointed back over to the sign by the main castle entrance. We got there at 3.05pm! In fact another gentleman came over with 3 children and was also told the same. I think it’s incredibly mean spirited to not allow two separate families with 5 children between them in for the sake of 5 minutes all because there’s no sign to advise people.
I went into the shop and asked the ladies if there was a manager available as I wanted to complain about the lack of signs advising and was told that they’ve had complaints about too many signs.
Oh the irony of that one. There was a nice big sandwich board advertising the shop itself.
We were also told by the lady in the shop that we would have been advised of this on entry by the people who sold us the ticket. All very well accept they didn’t!
We dropped in to the ticket office on the way out to tell them and were told we should have read it on their website!
Whatever happened to customer service?
There’s absolutely none here. Not one apology. Everything bounced back to the disappointed customer.
We were considering buying a family membership but if this is how all of the National Trust’s properties are run I think I’ll spend my cash somewhere else!

我们出去的时候顺便去了售票处告诉他们，结果被告知我们应该去他们的网站上看看！
他们的客服到底怎么了？
这里完全没有人。连一句道歉都没有。所有问题都推给了失望的顾客。
我们本来打算买家庭会员，但如果国民托管组织的所有资产都是这样运作的，我想我还是把钱花在别的地方吧！
