点评:This was one of our first field trips during our recent visit to Costa Rica, Located a few miles North of San Jose in a semi-rural area, this small ranch houses a number of disabled or abandoned wild animals and cares for them, with the intent of learning about their species, habits, nutrition and life cycle, and to get them to the point where they can be returned to the wild. Our children and grandchildren were in awe at the opportunity to view these animals in close proximity and hear their stories, their challenges and learn about the variety of flora and fauna in the country. The property also displays an enormous variety of flora, with beautiful flowers and other plants throughout the ranch. We saw, Toucans, Macaws, Sloths, Iguanas and other lizards, Beavers, Owls, etc. We highly recommend this tour, especially for city-dwellers and for families with young children.
