高卢—罗马文化博物馆的点评
点评：A very well presented modern museum right next to the Roman remains themselves. It's at the top of Fourvieres Hill. I went up by funicular, interesting gin itself. Museum is not expensive for what it is and it is free for pensioners.
Very well laid out inside as you enter at what is in effect the 5th floor and the start of the Roman period. There are multi lingual audio guides, just tap in a number when you see one by an exhibit. There is also a separate children's trail with its own set of numbers. There are also some Lego models of some key buildings that give a feel for them.
You wind your way gradually down slopes or short flights of steps. There is also a lift between the levels. Masses of artifacts well labelled and the audio guide give a good picture of the importance of the site and the town in Roman times.
Eventually you reach the bottom level, where the Roman ruins ar, pass through the inevitable, but good, shop and explore them. For me it was really too hot to explore fully so I popped back into museum and took lift back up.
