点评:Mount Srd is absolutely incredible and I suggest anyone who is able takes on the walk up and down to really experience it.
Although I read the reviews before doing this on our trip- and it was out of peak summer temperatures- it was still a harder walk than we were expecting.
To get to the start of the trail from the old town you have to climb a good few stairs, at least 100. And then you actually start the hill walk. The trail is a mix of compacted mud and roots, and then loose rocks like a pebble beach but on an incline.
The paths are sometimes in the shadow of the trees which is lovely. But they don’t stop you getting amazing views over Dubrovnik.
The route up has crosses on the path and art works on the corners depicting the stations of the cross. There are 14 sloped paths which lead to the top.
The walk is hard, but worth it.
I wore trainers but would definitely wear walking boots because the walk down is harder on the loose rocks.
You can take the cable car but that would be a waste of the experience.
There isn’t much at the top but a restaurant (Panorama) and the incredible view.
Do it, but your feet won’t thank you (if you wear regular trainers).
