莫瑞泰斯皇家美术馆的点评
点评：Fantastic museum. It's much much more than The Girl with a Pearl Earring. (I didn't realise this was where it lives, so I had no expectations)
I found the technical execution of the various Still Life and Genre paintings more fascinating than the Vermeers. When you're used to seeing them in photos, it's easy to dismiss some as only being "Flowers in a vase" but when you see them up close the work is incredibly impressive. If you visit, stay a while in Room 3, don't just glance at them as you power your way on to The Girl' or The Goldfinch.
Once you're in Room 15, take a look at the righthand wall and marvel at how ter Borch created the effect of pink satin in "The Messenger"
If you're staying in Amsterdam (or elsewhere) for anything more than a couple of days, it's well worth taking the train to The Hague
