莫瑞泰斯皇家美术馆的点评
点评：This was a unexpected and random visit to the museum during our road trip. Since the road trip was not planned well in advance but just go by the flow, we had not booked anything and many times during the two months just finded out the next location on the road or postponed our stay in a place in case it was possible and we felt that it would be nice to stay and see more.
We had no tickets to the Mauritshuis in advance. However, somehow I founded out that the Vermeer´s Girl with the pearl earring is there. I have seen the major big museums of Europe already and my husband is not a museum-person at all - actually this was his first fine art museum ever visited. We just planned to visit the museum very shortly and then do something else, however we were both amazed about it and spent much more time than planned. We got some discount on prices because of booking trought booking.com-application.
The museum is relatively small, if you compare it to Louvre, Vatican... but it has several floors (3?) and you can observe the art in your own eye from a very close sight. It also has a small art shop where you can buy some art souvenirs.
I wanted to see the Girl with the pearl earring, but I was delighted how much other things I explored - and to be able to provide and enjoy this experience with my husband and how he enjoyed his first real art museum experience!
