pro con advice- my "visit" to the Geneva museum

* The building is old
* It is not well lit
* it is not well ventilated
“I VISITED THIS PLACE”…
... because it is the art and history museum of Geneva, and I love that stuff.
Payment is optional with aa donation- that made it better.
The building is gigantic and elegant in old Greek style, generally similar to many amazing museums that I've visited n the world.
There is a basic free locker room with keys.
I enjoyed the ancient Egyptian and medieval stuff. The paintings- even the impressionist ones- were OK. i was surprised and disappointed at the wall that the impressionist paintings were displayed- all clumped together on one wall.
There is a little outside foyer to eat.
The inside appears and feels old and warm- wooden paneled floors, inadequate lighting and no ventilation nor air conditioning- it felt somewhat hot and not pleasant to be there.
It wasn't crowded.
WAS IT WORTH THE COST?
Free with optional donation is certainly worth the cost
