Sleepy Hollow Cemetery的点评
点评：We decided to add Sleepy Hollow into our road trip and the cemetery was top of the list. We love old cemeteries anyway, so it was a no-brainer. It wasn’t my favourite of the trip, but it’s still worth doing. It’s a massive cemetery, and you’re best off parking in two separate locations depending on which graves you want to see (Irving is closer to the church, whereas Carnegie is much further out). I love they provide you with a little map.
There were some very interesting gravestones here which I enjoyed exploring (I’ve attached a pic of one of my favourites). We also found the Eleanor Van Tassel stone which Irving based Katrina on - it’s right close to the church behind an iron fence.
It seems poignant than Irving based characters on stones he saw here, and then was buried in the same cemetery.
