点评：The hike from Achada de Teixera, and the nearby "Homem em Pe" rock formation to the summit of Pico Ruivo is breathtaking. We got lucky with a sunny day and were above the clouds the entire hike. The hike takes you along the ridge with fantastic views and lots of wild flowers with a final steep ascent to the summit. About half a kilometer from the summit, a nasty man will charge you one Euro to use a W.C. without water, soap, or paper, so come prepared with hand wipes and TP in your backpack. Anyone in reasonable shape can do the hike, as long as 6,000 feet altitude doesn't bother you. Parking is a problem as with all Madeiran hikes. We arrived about 9:30 and parked on the side of the road just down from the small parking lot. By the time we returned, people were parked a mile down the road. As with all of the hikes we paid for, no one checked tickets.
