Saltee Islands的点评
点评：Kilmore Quay is a favourite day trip location for my wife and I and we had always been promising ourselves that one day we would book passage on the Saltee ferry, and spend some time on the island to see the wild seabird colonies.
This year we actually did it and we were not disappointed. The crossing is about twenty minutes, and you then take a dingy from the ferry to be landed on the small beach. You are then given three hours to explore the island before being pick up from the same beach.
Wildlife Wardens are on the island to advise and guide you. There are no fatalities on the islands, so use the toilets before you board the ferry and bring a rucksack with the same provisions you would if you were going for a hike. Snacks, water and some wet gear.
The wildlife is amazing, you won’t be disappointed.
