Don’t miss the Renon gondola!

点评：What a fabulous experience!
We walked (less than a mile) from our hotel to the gondola station on the street Via Renon, it’s at the far end of the main Bolzano train/bus station. We bought round trip tickets for both the gondola and the cog train - 39€ for 2 adults (over 65). Each gondola holds about 12-15 people. It’s only 12 minutes up to the top. You can explore the town, Soprabolzano.. There are few shops & restaurants.. the train station is right there, so we got on the next train to Collealbo and again, what a ride!! the views on both were are just spectacular.. we had a perfect day/ blue skies and about 70 degrees. We wandered around Collealbo (it’s a bit hilly..) took some photos and after about an hour, took the train back to Soprabolzano. Found a delightful little cafe where we had a delicious lite lunch (goulash, quiche & salad). Spent another hour exploring a few little shops -and then took the return gondola back down.. Maybe 5 hours total time spent including the walk from our hotel. You could take a cab to get to the gondola station.. we just enjoyed the walk on a beautiful late April day! This experience is a main reason why we chose to go to Bolzano for 3 days. Loved it!
