Unforgettable, felt safe, and was "Home Base"

点评：I spent ten days at the Bouudha Stupa View Guesthouse and rooftop Restaurant. This hotel is in a great location. The staff are friendly and accomodating. Only rooms in front and back have windows to the outside, and if you are here for spiritual reasons, you will awake to prayers, chants, bells, drums, horns and Boudhanath activities. Bring ear plugs if you want to sleep in. The rooms of the interior have windows to the outter lobby only. I loved my room. It's simple, basic, daily maid service upon request only, They give a bottle of water a day per guest. Free breakfast on rooftop with great view. Price for entire stay with breakfast, less than 200 dollars for son and I. He is living w/homestay family while attending school for 5 months, and stayed with me while I visited. I LOVED shopping and spending time around the Stupa. There are many stray dogs that are there. They seem well fed, won't take snacks, and some can be petted some are wary. So be cautious. It smells like sage and incense, there's a lot to see and do. I'd venture out and explore the city and always felt like I was coming back to a safe Haven at the Stupa. *Be aware you must purchase a low cost ticket to enter. Ticket is good for a week or more so keep it and show, when enterig and exiting thereafter. RoadHouse and Himalyan Java were my go to restuarants and hang outs. Pizza and RoadHouse exceptional.
