卡纳芬城堡的点评
点评：An excellent 2 hours, we were in at 9:30 on a Sunday morning, and it felt like we had the castle to ourselves. We parked in the local empty multistory at the edge of town and walked the short distance. Very friendly staff on the door who obviously have a passion for what they do.
Castle is set up in a non dictorial free wander, which I like, whereas the museum is superbly routed to make sure you see it all. And there's a lot to see.
Great history of the castle available throughout certain areas but would have loved to have more understanding of the rooms and corridors. Everything seemed to have an audio prompt, but I'm not a fan of those things and would have appreciated some more signs to read about where I was.
I enjoy reading 1 star reviews when there's such a flood of 5 stars. Most seem to be about the car park (as I've said here, there's other options to park elsewhere), lack of disabled access (it wasn't a thought 700 years ago and I think cadw have done a great job where they can) and not being dog friendly (I respect rules of venues and thats their call).
We were under some time limitations but could have easily spent 4 hours here if we wanted to read the military info and visit every area.
Cadw excellent as ever. My new favourite castle!
