Worth a visit!
Big Pit National Coal Museum的点评
点评：We had stopped over nearby to stargaze; we found this attraction on the way home on suggested places to go. It was a bit of a pain to find and get to with the diversions and not being too familiar with this part of Wales.
Once we got there the staff were warm and welcoming. We if course opted for the mine tour at £5 each which was great value. We had to wait an hour till our slot so we explored the old buildings and exhibitions which are informative and interesting. Particularly the King Cole.
Once we arrived at the waiting room; we had to wait a little while before we were taken into another room to have our helmets and belt put on (about 5kg including the self rescuer).
The staff there were equally friendly and jokey.
We then crammed into a lift which descended 90m below the ground I believe. It definitely let you feel how the miners would have and there was less of us then there would have been back then.
Our guide was called Thomas (I think) and he was brilliant. He gave us lots of information; laughter and made sure we were all safe/comfortable.
There were two ways out of the mine (back the way we came or via a loop which was lower and had some steps to navigate). Either would have been fine for me but one of our group couldn't manage the stairs/lower ceiling so we all had to go back the way to we came.
Thomas told us extra facts about bits we hadn't seen on the way so we learn new information too.
The conditions Men and horses (pit ponies) had to work in was so dangerous. The stables were many horses were kept was also sad to see.
We would definitely recommend to anyone as was so worth it. Even if you only pay the fiver to park and do not want to do the mine tour; plenty to see!

工人们和马匹（矿井小马）的工作环境非常危险。马厩里养着很多马，看起来也挺让人心酸的。
我们绝对会推荐大家来这里，因为这里非常值得。即使你只付5英镑的停车费，不想参加矿井之旅，这里也有很多值得一看的地方！
