点评：The temple is well maintained, near and clean.
The temple is dedicated to the SUN God, and was made by the king of Solanki dynasty.
Guides are available in the temple, who will tell about the full history of the temple. It is worth hiring one. I was surprised to know from him that the Solanki Dynasty kings, came from Karnataka and established their kingdom here in Gujarat.
Entry tickets has to be purchased for entering the monument.
Their is a laser show in the evening, which is very good. So if you come here in the evening, you can view the laser show also. The show is included in the entry ticket.
The tropic of Cancer passes through this Temple, and this is marked on the wall of the temple.
Though a beautiful temple, since it is made of Sand stone, the dry wind from the north deserts are eroding the structure. Many of the statues are damaged due to the erosion.
