Plimoth Patuxet Museums的点评
点评：This is a great living history museum with both costumed re-enactors who pretend that they are in the 1620s (in the Plimoth village) and won't break character, and with historians who will answer your questions and tell you about the history as a person living in the current time (in the Plimoth village and the Patuxet Village). There is also a craft center that shows you staff working on crafts and restorations for the sites.
However, the quality of these three sites depends greatly on the number of re-enactors and staff on hand at the time that you visit. If you visit off season or on a day that isn't very busy, there may be fewer staff there to do demonstrations or to talk with. So, you can feel a little let down.
Another site is the Plimoth Grist Mill, which is near the current downtown Plymouth on the site where the original grist mill originally stood. They show you how the mill grinds corn, but the do actual corn grinding on Saturdays. But it's interesting even if you're there on another day. You can buy the corn they mill in the gift shop.
The final site is the Mayflower II, which is an accurate reproduction of the original Mayflower, which you can go on board and see what the experience was like for the pilgrims.
I recommend getting the admission that includes all of these sites. If you're visiting Plymouth, it's definitely worth doing all of them. They are all interesting to see.
We spent about 5 hours doing all of these sites, but it depends on how long you linger.

It's not the kind of place where there is a lot of stopping and reading things, which kids don't tend to like.
