点评：My wife and I were looking for something different to do in Thekkady and came across Philip’s Natural Honey farm. I’ll admit I wasn’t especially excited at first, but my wife wanted to go, so I tagged along, and I’m genuinely glad I did. The visit was both entertaining and surprisingly educational. The family who runs the farm was warm and welcoming, and they shared a ton of interesting, easy-to-understand details about beekeeping. We toured their small working demonstration setup designed for visitors (they also operate several larger farms elsewhere). We learned about the different types of bees, looked inside the hive boxes, and even held honeycombs. It felt very safe. The bees aren’t aggressive unless they feel threatened, so as long as you stay calm and don’t swat your hands around, you’ll be fine. The tasting was a highlight. We tried their regular honey and also honey from tiny stingless bees, which is especially prized for its medicinal properties. These bees are about the size of a small fruit fly and don’t have stingers, which makes the experience even more approachable. You can also buy honey on-site, and we did. The quality was excellent, and the value compared to what we pay back home was hard to beat. This is a great stop for adults and kids. If you’re traveling with children, it’s safe, hands-on, and they’ll have a blast. It's the type of place you won't forget.
