点评：Great trips out to the massive dunes where they plunge into the Atlantic south of Swakopmund. You can only get there by licensed 4X4 and the experience is a must for any visitor, young or old. The team at iVenture send you in a small convoy of amazingly robust Toyotas, past the vast salt pans to the dunes, where you race along the shore past pelicans and seals to a natural inlet called Sandwich Harbour (not a harbour at all). You’re the. Taken to the top of a high dune for stunning views along the coast. That’s all thrilling enough, but then the real action starts. On the return leg the highly experienced, friendly and knowledgeable drivers take you on an incredible roller-coaster ride up and down huge dunes at what seem like dizzying speeds, but probably aren’t. Half-way back there’s a break and upmarket picnic with a glass of fizz or other cold drinks. Great fun. Our guide, Louwens, had been on the dunes for 30-plus years and was happy to answer any questions and share his extensive knowledge of the area.
