点评：Sankaku Market's English translation is called Triangle Market. When our cruise ship docked here in Otaru, Japan, in April, my husband and I walked here for their fresh seafood breakfast. There were many vendors inside. We walked to the back of the market where we saw tanks with many different crabs. We picked one hairy crab (Otaru specialty) and the owner weighed it in front of us before taking it to the kitchen to steam it. We also ordered seafood donburi bowls with rice and each came with miso soup. Price depends on your selection of seafoods, with sea urchins being the most expensive. Our bill came out to 20,000 JPY ($140). We paid in JPY, as the owner said his credit card machine wasn’t working.
Our breakfast was so good, we came back to the same vendor for lunch before our cruise ship left the port. Highly recommend stopping here if you are in Otaru. it’s walkable from the port and located right next to the train station. Morning was less crowded than the afternoon.
