Near the Town, a but tired looking but still functional

点评：Tuesday 12th September and we walked around Passeio Marítimo, Porto da Cruz, a coastal walkway
We started our walk on one side of the headland by the North Mills Distillery and ended up back in the other side of the the small town.
As we approached the far side of the Town we saw the Piscinas, a number of outdoor pools, a feature along the pathway. The route we took was the longest way to get there.
There are two pools here, one very large one suitable for adults and the other for children.
There was also a large area equipped with sunloungers and umbrellas where visitors can relax enjoy the sunshine and scenic views.
In the absence of any beaches nearby, on this rugged and rocky coastline, these outdoor pools are a good option.
However must say they did look a bit tired with the paintwork needing some attention.
There is a charge to use the pools, as we did not go in, have no idea how much. We were told that it was not very expensive.
Toilets and showers were also available at the Piscina.
