Second Visit…Sensing a Difference

点评：I just returned from my second visit. I really loved this gem of a spa but on this visit, I could tell it has gone downhill.
One of the hot pools was so dirty, with brown hair & dirt coating the filter. I refused to go in it (the others were fine though). They have started to allow guests to wear their outdoor shoes into the steam rooms and saunas…so you walk/sit on gravel. Last year you would see staff cleaning around the spa but in 5.5 hours, we didn’t see a single instance of staff cleaning. None of the fires were lit when it was 10 degrees. Plus they ran out of items in the restaurant. Their menu is very limited (bring snacks lol).
Our towels and robes were also ripped. There wre always lots of towels though.. There were only a few staff to be found and they were mostly casually walking around the property like visitors.
It is a beautiful property and previously I felt it was one of the best Nordic spas, I had visited in Canada. The range of experiences are still impressive. I hope it is just the new management figuring out the ropes.
